Hey Beauties warm weather season is finally here and that means Curlista's can finally wash and go without the fear of catching pneumonia. As for me I'm an easy breezy kind of girl so most days during this time of year I start my day by wetting or co-washing my hair in the shower. Then I blot my hair with a towel to absorb the excess water. Next I apply one of our whipped body butters usually Mango-go this time of year because it gives my hair the best fragrance and the aroma always reminds me of summer. It also helps that our body butters are whipped to a smooth and creamy mousse consistency because it absorbs into the hair follicles rather than sit on top of the hair shaft causing it to appear dull as well as cause residue build up. Next, I usually divide my hair into four sections and apply our whipped body butter to each section to ensure each section is properly moisturized. Once each section has been moisturized the only thing left to do is leave my hair out or pull all my juicy coils into a top knot bun, which happens to be my go to look most spring/summer days.
Curlista's have you tried moisturizing your coils with our body butters? If you have be sure to let us know your regimen.

Have you seen or heard Beyonce's latest visual album? Be sure to share your thoughts with us!

Are You Ready For A Beauty Cocktail?
Beauties do you like cocktails? If you do we're sure your going to love this one. We love cocktails especially when they're Beauty Cocktails. In addition to taking care of skin on the outside we believe its especially important to take care of it from the inside. This beauty cocktail of coconut water, lemon juice & seltzer water will hydrate all the way down to the cellular level. Here are a few properties that make lemon & coconut water are ideal for skin and body.
Benefits of Coconut Water
1. 1/2lemon
2. Coconut Water
3. Seltzer Water
Pour 4oz of coconut water & 4oz seltzer water to cup. Squeeze in the juice of half of a lemon and stir. Feel free to add ice if you prefer to drink chilled.
Beauties if you give the Nidasii Beauty Cocktail a try please let us know how it worked for you!
Benefits of Coconut Water
- Anti Aging - Contains anti-thrombotic and anti-carcinogenic properties that significantly reduces the aging of skin
- Digestion - Contains enzymes such as folic acid, diastase, phosphate, catalase and RNA polymerases that aid in digestion and metabolism
- Dehydration - Due to its electrolyte balance and plasma content coconut water closely resembles human blood making it ideal for treating dehydration
- Strong Bones - Contains high levels of calcium
- Muscle Cramps - Due to its high levels of potassium it significantly reduces muscle cramps
- Increases Metabolic Rate - Consuming coconut water regularly increases the metabolic rate which causes insulin to burn faster in the body thus increasing its metabolic rate. Increased metabolic rate means the body burns sugar faster causing a person to have increased energy and fat loss
- Oily Skin - Applying lemon juice to a cotton pad and gently wiping the face at bed time then washing in the morning has been known to reduce appearance of oily skin
- Treatment of Acne - The anti-fungal & anti-microbial properties make it ideal for treating acne
- Strengthen Nails - The combination of olive oil & lemon juice has been known to strengthen nails when massaged into the nail
- Lighten Hair Color - When lemon juice is combined with hair conditioner and used as a leave in conditioner it has been proven to naturally lighten hair when you sit out in the sun for at least an hour

Hot oil Beauty Re-mix
-->
Hey Beauties,
It’s been FREEEEEZING in NYC this week. All week long I’ve
been awaking to temps of 10 and 7 degrees! Those temps don't exactly make a girl want to jump out of bed in the morning. So needless to say I’ve been
blasting the heat all week drying out my skin. This weekend I decided to
give my skin the treat it needs. A hot oil treatment! Yes, you read it correctly,
I gave my skin a hot oil treatment. Who says hot oil treatments are only for
hair. In fact, I actually re-mixed this Beauty DIY with one of our products.
Here’s how you can benefit from this special treatment.
As always my moisturizing process begins after a
shower on moist skin. It’s truly
the best way to deeply moisturize because it penetrates beneath the skins
surface and this is how you maintain all day moisture.
Before you go into the shower take your favorite oil ( this
weekend I used a blend of coconut
oil and avocado oil) and place it into a heat safe container. Next, place the heat safe container into
a hot water bath to allow the oil to warm. I usually take the oil in the hot
water bath into the bathroom with me and have it heat up while I’m in the
shower. After the shower I slightly blot my skin making sure to
leave it moist.
Now, here’s where the fun begins. I would normally apply the
hot oil treatment to my damp skin. But, this is how I re-mixed this beauty DIY. I
first applied the hot oil treatment to my skin. Oh my goodness!!
It feels and smells
amazing. After I applied the hot oil treatment I massaged our Cocoa Commotion
Body Butter into my skin to provide an additional layer of moisture to my dry skin, as well as seal in
moisture. My skin literally drinks in the moisture and I have luminous, glowing skin.
Want to give this Beauty DIY a try? Here’s what you will
need.
·
Your favorite oil or blend of oils
·
Heat safe container
·
Hot water bath
If you give this beauty DIY a try stop by and let us know
how it worked for you.

Nidasii Spa: Papaya & Banana D.I.Y Mask
Here are the ingredients needed for today's beauty mask:
1/2 Ripe Papaya
1 Whole Banana
1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Blender
Take a spoon and scoop out the seeds from the center of the papaya and place them on a paper towel to dry. I'll tell what to do with those in our beauty remix below. Next, take a spoon and begin to scoop out the the flesh of the papaya into the blender. Next, place the peeled banana into the blender and begin to blend until you achieve a pureed consistency. Next, add 1/4 of a cup or 4 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream to the papaya & banana puree and blend for 2 minutes. The heavy whipping cream will help thicken the mixture allowing for a better application. Plus the lactic acid in the cream is a natural exfoliant. When done apply the mixture to face and relax for twenty minutes to let all the natural nutrients absorb into the skin. Be sure to place the remaining mixture in an air tight container and store in the refrigerator. I can usually get three applications from this recipe. This recipe also will last up to one week if stored in the refrigerator.
Beauty Benefits of This Mask:
This mask exfoliates, moisturizes and provides the skin with essential minerals and antioxidants.
The papapya contains papain an enzyme that acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and natural exfoliant that has the ability to melt away the outer most layer of dead dry skin. Because the ezyme papain has anti-inflammatory properties its ideal for acne prone skin types.
In this beauty recipe the banana acts as a natural moisturizer with a host of essential vitamins and minerals.
The heavy whipping cream has many functions in this beauty recipe. It serves as an emulsifier, thickening the papaya & banana mixture allowing for a rich, decadent application. The lactic acid in the cream also provides gentle exfoliation. And, last, but certainly not the least, it provides tons and tons of moisture.
Papaya Beauty Re-mix:
Earlier in this post I told you I would get back to you on what to do with the papaya seeds I instructed you to place on a paper towel to dry. So, here it is!
Be sure to look out for more papaya goodness in part II of this post Wednesday!

Spring Fling Beautiful Skin

Not only is Spring officially here but the weather has been a bit summerish and that makes me soooo happy! That's why I wanted to share my two staples for plump hydrated skin. This is actually part of my daily routine all year long, but, it's especially effective during the more humid days of spring and summer.
I feel like I've said this a million times on this blog, but, I have extremely dry skin!! So over the years through much trial and error I discovered what works for my skin. Here's what I do.
*First I apply olive oil to my damp skin in the shower
*Second I apply vegetable glycerine to damp skin as well in the shower
*Next, I apply one of our Nidasii body butters to seal in the moisture...at the moment I'm using Mango-go.

Nidasii 5 Days of Butter - Pedi's Need A Cure Against Dryness
Because we're in the middle of fall and for most of us our feet are stuck in boots, cute boots I'm sure! There's no reason why your feet can't look as pretty as they did when you were rocking your cutest open toe shoes and sandals this past summer. Here's what I do when I really want to deeply moisturize my feet.
After I take my shower for the night I moisturize as usual. But, on those nights when I want to deeply moisturize and hydrate my feet I take it a step further!
*I slather my damp feet in body butter...yes I slather them
*Then I wrap each foot in plastic wrap ( yes plastic wrap...trust me on this....LOL)
*Next I put on my warmest, fuzziest socks and go off to bed
*The next morning I wake up to soft, supple, deeply hydrated feet
Beauty Bonus: Spa Pedicure Video: If your going to try our method to deeply moisturized feet you might want to make it an extra special pamper night. Check out our Spa Pedicure video.

Nidasii 5 Days of Butter - My Moisture Routine
Hey Beauties! I hope your enjoying our five days of body butter. There's so much you can do with body butter I can go on forever! Today I'm going to let you know how I use body butter to re-hydrate my skin. Moisturizing and maintaining moisture is especially important this time of the year.
After my shower I immediately apply body butter to my damp skin. You want to apply the body butter, or any moisturizer for that matter, to damp skin because after we shower our pores are open. The pores of our skin actually open when exposed to heat or warmth. Water acts as a carrier allowing the moisturizer to penetrate deeply beneath the skins surface. When moisturizers penetrate deep below the skins surface it allows our skin to stay hydrated for a longer period of time. And that's extremely important now that most of us are experiencing cooler drier temperatures of fall and soon winter.
Beauty Bonus: If you have extremely dry skin like I do I would highly recommend you use a humidifier to keep the air in your home moist. I actually have two in my apartment. Like I said I have extremely dry skin and during the colder months when we heat our homes the heat dries out any signs of moisture in the air. Having a humidifier will add moisture to the air keeping your skin supple and hydrated longer.
If you don't have a humidifier try placing a stock pot on a low flame on the stove or place a heat resistant bowl on a radiator. This is an old school method...but it works!

The Week My Poor Little Body Broke Down
Yes, it's true my little five foot body really did break down this week. Does this mean I'm officially getting older?....sniff, sniff.
It all started Monday. Can I tell you that Monday it was 82 degrees in NYC? Do you know what happens when the mercury hits 82 degrees in April.....people loose their minds! All I'll say is this you definitely see more skin. Now here's where things start going down hill for me. I didn't go crazy running out side in t-shirt and jeans. Instead, I walked with my jacket stuck in my gym bag and wore my track pants/leggings t-shirt and a sweater because I was on my way to my FIRST official kickboxing class. And all I can say is O...M...G!! I think my body immediately went into shock because I could barely walk down the stairs after class. My poor thighs kept shaking and trembling every time I had to attempt any moves in the squatting position. This class made my first class of Bikram yoga look like a steamy walk in the park. During my first time taking that class you couldn't tell me I didn't see "The Light".
Of course I felt all the pain and soreness Tuesday. But, it wasn't too bad I managed to get through the day and I even pushed my self to attend my monthly mastermind even though I wanted to go home and take a nice long soak....By the way the beautiful 82 degree weather didn't stick around for long the temperature quickly dropped by 20 degrees and it was rainy.....really, rainy! Perfect example of our early spring weather in NYC....bipolar.
Now when I woke up this morning I was in worst pain than yesterday!! I swear I'm not making this up. I know it's not good to swear, but, really I'm not making this up. Every square inch of my body was in more pain than the day before. I woke up this morning feeling muscle achy like I was coming down with the flu with muscle soreness from the day before. Every part of my body was at level 10+++++ on the pain scale, with a nice dose of insane head congestion and slight temperature to boot. Of course the head congestion is all courtesy of Tuesday's dreary rainy weather. And, of course today's weather was a repeat of yesterday.....cold, wet and rainy. Now I'm waiting for the kettle to whistle because I'm going to pour the hot water into my stainless steel face basin and hang my head over it while covering with a towel. I'm trying to hold out and stick to my natural home remedies instead of taking medicine. Oh boy...let's see how this goes. Just in case things don't work out I have my box of nasal decongestants next to me.
Good Night Beauties.

Did Ya Know: Shea, Shea, Shea ♫♫

Hey Beauties! How are you all enjoying spring? I can't believe we had snow showers this morning in NYC. What happened to that beautiful 75 degree weather we had Friday? But, enough about my weather woes. Last week we had our first "Did Ya Know" Friday. Once a month on a Friday were going to spend a day posting interesting facts about a natural beauty ingredient on our Nidasii FaceBook page. Our first "Did Ya Know" ingredient was shea butter. In case you missed it we posted them below.
Did Ya Know: That slathering your feet in Shea butter & covering them in plastic for 30 minutes or sleeping with socks over night immediately after an at home pedicure or shower will leave your feet soft & moisturized all day
Did Ya Know: a single Karite tree (tree that produces the Shea butter) takes 50 years to mature & will survive up to 300 years!!! Talk about longevity.
Did Ya Know: Butyrospermum Parkii is the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) name for Shea Butter. The next time you purchase an item with Shea Butter & you can't identify it on the ingredient listing look for Butyrospermum Parkii.
Did Ya Know: Shea Butter in the U.S. is commonly used in cosmetic & beauty products, however, in west African countries it's most commonly used for cooking.
Did Ya Know: Shea Butter is a nut that comes from the Karite tree
Did Ya Know: Shea Butter is an ingredient commonly used in chocolates. Take a look & see if it's in your favorite chocolate
Don't forget to let us know what you think! Do you have suggestions for next month? We love receiving your feedback.
